Susan is a result driven professional with over 15 years’ experience in the Energy Sector.

Her career in this sector began in employment where for 5 years she gained vast experience in the industry.

This saw the conception of Global Oil Petroleum Ltd, a company she started with partners in the year 2010. Her exposure and interaction with various stakeholders in the industry has continued to be a great resource in her role as the Business Development Director.

Along her journey she found her relentless passion & purpose in promoting the well-being of children and families in emotional wellness and mindset transformation as a Life Skills Coach and Counselling Psychologist. This is how Joy-Village Ltd was birthed.

She is a visionary leader & the founder of Joy-Village Ltd & Sense 101 Junior Club. She works with a group of mentors to impart knowledge and equip children with experiential life skill activities/programs. 

Joy-Village is the home to Joy Kids where the organization works with children between 4-12 years, Joy Teens 13-19 year olds and Joy Family for Young Adults 20-25yrs, Parents, Mentors (Trainer of Trainers) and a Counselling Therapy arm for psychological support.

She endeavors to achieve Goal 3 (Good Health & Wellbeing) & 4 (Quality Education) of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to transform the world by ensuring children live healthy lives, promoting their well-being at all ages and promoting lifelong learning.

She serves in Owit Nairobi board as the vice president of programs.  In this role she is responsible for implementing the Annual Calendar of events to meet the objective of capacity building for the members, seeking speakers for Owits 2 monthly events/meetings and ensuring all activities are done to plan by coordinating with the Programs Officer. 

She has the overall responsibility of the conceptualization, design and management of all Owit programs. Her desire is to ensure that “No woman is left behind” in their entrepreneurial journey and should tap into the rich resource of global mentorship and support provided by Owit Nairobi. She strongly believes in Owits’ Vision of empowering women to transform communities through global trade.

She enjoys the outdoors connecting with nature, travelling and interacting with like-minded people.

“It takes a village to raise a child” inspired by the African Proverb. She chooses to actively be a participating member of that village and transform generations.
