OWIT PEER TO PEER MENTORSHIP PROGRAM (OPPM)
Entrepreneurship and leadership are often described as rewarding, but the journey can also be lonely and challenging. It’s not uncommon for business leaders to feel the need for a trusted companion who can help them stay motivated, provide feedback, and ensure they remain focused on their long-term goals and vision. Recognizing this, OWIT Kenya launched the Peer-to-Peer Mentorship Program 2023 to foster a supportive community among women in business. Through this program, members are carefully matched based on their profession, experience, and expertise, creating partnerships that enable them to grow together. These accountability partners offer a unique level of support by providing ongoing feedback, sharing knowledge, and encouraging each other to follow through with their commitments and goals. This mentorship approach allows both partners to inspire one another, while also ensuring a consistent focus on personal and professional development. With shared commitment, both individuals encourage each other to push beyond their limits and reach for greater achievements, ultimately helping them realize their full potential and make meaningful strides toward their visions of success.
CHERIE BLAIR FOUNDATION MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
OWIT Kenya is proud to be a partner in the Cherie Blair Foundation’s Mentorship Program, offering our members a unique opportunity to connect with mentors from across the globe. Through this partnership, OWIT Kenya members are matched with experienced professionals who guide them on their personal and business journeys. Over the course of a year, mentors and mentees collaborate to identify and achieve the mentee’s personal development and business goals. Together, they combine their strengths and insights to make significant progress, whether it’s refining business strategies, launching new products, expanding networks, or improving financial management systems. As a result, mentees often experience remarkable growth—building confidence, gaining critical skills, and driving their businesses forward in new and innovative ways. Mentors, in turn, benefit from this rewarding experience by gaining exposure to new cultures and industries, while also honing their listening, communication, and leadership abilities. By contributing to the success of another person and their business, they forge a meaningful impact that extends beyond borders
